Buddies is back in business!

Following what feels like years without walking your doggies or looking after pussycats, I’m officially allowed to get back to work and I cannot wait.

There’s no evidence that animals can contract the virus or indeed spread it between humans, but I want to take extra precautions for peace of mind.

I’ll be making a few changes to ensure everybody’s safety and have laid these out below. It will be a team effort so I’ve split the pointers into what I will be doing and what I need you to do too.

Your furry friends are no doubt eager to see their mates again and I’ll be extra cautious with letting dogs off-lead and monitoring social interaction between them to help ensure we have a safe and happy walk.

I will be following the guidelines as laid out for Professional Dog Walkers by the Canine and Feline Sector Group. More info: http://www.cfsg.org.uk/coronavirus

What I will do:

-Prioritise dog walking for key workers and shielded/vulnerable customers

-Wash my hands before and after each collection and drop off

-Maintain 2m social distancing during collection, drop off and while on walks

-Use my own leads for each dog, and wash them between dogs (I’ve stocked up!)

-Spray and wipe down each dog’s coat and paws on collection and drop off with pet friendly anti-viral solution (Leucillin)

-Walk dogs in quiet areas where possible to maintain 2m social distancing measures. Dogs will be kept on lead in busy areas or if recall is poor.

-Disinfect my vehicle with pet friendly disinfectant (Petlife Formula H) and use fresh bedding for each journey

-Waiver the cancellation policy should you or anyone in your household experience COVID 19 symptoms

What you need to do:

-Keep 2m distance during collection/drop off

-No lead required. Just make sure your dog has a collar and ID tag

-Make payment by BACS for the time being

-Update me ASAP if anyone in your household is experiencing COVID 19 symptoms

Thank you for all your support. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
